Postcard Study Group - Autumn 2007

The Bibliography Section's Postcard Study Group which started work in October 2000 continues to make steady progress. The original group members identified and listed the ouput of about three hundred publishers. Before embarking on a complete revision of these records in May 2006, other enthusiasts were invited to join the group, since when the extended group have reviewed the known (to them) output of over fifty publishers of postcards depicting local views. The group meet monthly and as they continue to revise their initial records, new cards continue to be added. All Société members are welcome to these meetings but are especially invited to an evening meeting on Thursday, 22nd November when the group will be reviewing L.L. (Louis Levy) cards. This meeting which will be in the Members' Room will start at 7.30pm and it would be helpful if you would advise the office if you propose coming and if you will be bringing any L.L. cards with you.
