Bibliography Review - Spring 2008
Last Autumn the Section Chairman visited the Priaulx Library in St Peter Port, Guernsey and in conversation with the Librarian, discussed the possibility of arranging a Section ‘away day’ to Guernsey. The Priaulx Library has been established for many years and has accumulated a considerable amount of material, some of it very old and some with a greater relevance to Jersey than to our sister island.
It is hoped that a day excursion to Guernsey will take place in May, when the Priaulx Librarian will be available to show us around the collections and associated material.
The Section continues to meet at irregular intervals, usually every six weeks or so, with some meetings being themed in advance, some with a short presentation on book, or library related, matters and some with no pre-planned agenda other than ‘bring a few books with you’. We meet in the Arthur Mourant Room starting at 8pm.
