About the Geology Section

A programme is arranged each year to cater for varying degrees of interest; this includes field walks during the lighter evenings of the Summer months. In addition, we look forward to having instruction in the art of thin sectioning rock specimens. Work is being done on two projects started in 1993, one on seismology and the other, a study of the collectors, their method and dates of collecting specimens which now make up the Société's splendid geology collection.
