About la Section de la Langue Jèrriaise
La Section de la Langue Jèrriaise has been formed in order to encourage the use and study of our native language and culture. We hope to provide an opportunity to preserve and promote the Jersey way of life and gradually increase the use of Jèrriais in everyday Island life. We also hope that a programme of teaching Jèrriais could be available in schools so that the future generations would not forget the language of their ancestors.
