Museum Announces Plan to Move Historic Arch
Work is starting today to relocate the arch at the entrance of the Jersey Museum to its original location.
The arch, which was built as a grand entrance to the Merchant's House at No 9 Pier Road, was moved back in the 1990s as part of the development of the museum.
It's being restored to its prime location as part of the refurbishment of the former Weighbridge Bus Station area.
The Jersey Museum, Museum Brasserie and The Printed Word bookshop are open as usual for the duration of the works with access via the side gate off the entrance to the Ordnance Yard.
