Well, with some interest in the status of endangered languages, I would just like to ask the question - How many truly fluent native speakers of Jerriais are left?
Are they all elderly? Is any realistic intergenerational transmission of the language or dialect taking place at all? Something that leads to it remaining a community language.
Is the focus by Jerriais activists in keeping with the views of the remaining native speakers on the language? Too many questions perhaps but put simply will Jerriais really die out when the last of the pre-WW2 are all dead?
