Although my historical interest in this area is Russians in Jersey, I believe there were some Poles in Jersey among the political exiles.
Henri-Luce Manuel (http://www.societe-jersiaise.org/geraint/jerriais/manuel.html) was described in the Chronique de Jersey in 1864 (I think, or 1865?) as being a friend of the Poles.
Suggest looking up the proscrits.
