La Section de la langue Jèrriaise has produced a new book containing Jèrriais house names - now available from the shop at the bargain price of £4 - the same price as the phrase book to which it forms a companion volume in the same format.
The book is Jèrriais > English and vice versa, and is full of suggestions for property names.
It's not intended as a replacement for the monumental Jersey Place Names or the Dictionnaire, but it's certainly a lot cheaper and easier to fit in a pocket!
As ever, la Section will be happy to answer queries about house names, but the new book will make a useful first stop for reference.
